About
Prayer Plants are native to Tropical and Central South America and the West Indies. The leaves are flat by day and folded up as the day comes to an end, hence the common name “prayer plant” although it actually is used for about 40-50 species.
Care
These plants love consistency. Stable temperature, bright indirect sunlight, not too dry or too wet. If you give them what they want they will continue to thrive for years. But if you miss one watering or they catch a cold draft, they can be a little bit dramatic.
Toxicity
Prayer plants are considered non toxic to pets and humans, although I don’t recommend putting it in your salad.
