Generally regarded as one of the easiest plants to take care of, these plants can handle low light artificial lights, whatever you throw at them.  There are so many exciting variations to the standard green or golden pothos these days. The highly sought after Manjula, Cebu Blue and Global Green, more common Golden or Pearls and Jade, and even the stunning Marble Queen/Snow Queen or Neon. There’s a pothos available for every price point and every collector.

Care

Often recommended as a great starter plant pothos need very little active care. These plants can survive with minimal intervention and very little light. It prefers to dry out between waterings and likes to have something to climb on like a moss or coco coir pole. In the winter months or lower light these plants will grow slowly but in optimal conditions can grow almost a foot a month!

Toxicity

Pothos plants contain Calcium Oxalate crystals which are toxic if eaten. This can cause immediate pain, burning, swelling, and irritation to the mouth, lips, tongue, and throat. It can also cause stomach troubles if eaten in higher quantities.  If your furry friend or little one has a tendency to snack on plants you’ll want to put it somewhere they can’t get to.
