Snap Peas

Sugar Ann Snap Peas are easy quick growing peas that don’t need much, if any, trellising. Like other pea varieties they do like to climb a bit, but a small trellis is more than sufficient. With approximately 60cm (24″) vines, this bushy plant will produce sweet crisp edible pods that are about 6cm long. PS

Plant peas in a cooler place in the garden to enjoy fresh peas for most of the summer. Morning sun with shade during the hottest part of the day is ideal.  Peas benefit from even watering, and like well draining soil amended with compost.

If you’re looking to plant some beneficial companions for your peas, consider planting with marigolds, chives, mint, alyssum, carrot, corn, cucumber, radish, turnip, or beans.
